November Wedding Bells & Worship Gatherings

It’s 10 days before my wedding and I’m in Alabama with 300+ crazy, passionate, radical fellow YWAMers. Something tells me I should be stressed, but somehow I’m just not. The flowers will arrive, friends will bring food, the decorations will get hung, and at the end of November 26, I will be married to the love of my life. Nothing can change that. So, I choose to not be distracted by all the details that could pull my focus, and engage with what’s happening today. YWAM Orlando traveled by bus, vans, and many many cars to Talladega, Alabama for our annual southeast conference with YWAM. Bases from all over Florida, Georgia to Virginia and Kentucky are gathered here to refresh, renew, and recharge for the coming year. We are calling this gathering ACTS ONE, based on Acts chapter 1, when Jesus was talking to His disciples before His ascension into heaven: “On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”

We are gathered here as separate YWAM bases, but united to eagerly wait for His Spirit to fall upon us in a fresh way. And has it ever. Something I’ve been particularly challenged/inspired by is breaking off unbelief in my life. To no longer doubt God’s provision for my finances, for the finances for this campus, or for my vision to be made clear. I choose to believe wholeheartedly in these. We had a powerful time of prayer, repentance, and praise.

This whole quarter at YWAM Orlando has had hints of revival. You can see it in our worship, in our teaching, in our conversations, and in our students. It’s pretty exciting what God is doing in our community. I’ve had the privilege of working with the Justice Discipleship Training School with their focus of human trafficking prevention. It’s been incredible. These 12 newly charged abolitionists will soon be taking Asia by force to wage war against this injustice. And I’ve been able to help prepare to send them out. It’s been such a honor to work with these students and I’ll be praying for every step of their outreach.
The wedding is quickly approaching, and we’ve had an overwhelming response of positive RSVP’s! Over 275 of our friends & families will be joining us on a beach in the very near future. I couldn’t be more excited to be Creagon’s wife. I can’t wait to begin our life together. Thank you for all your prayers, support & encouragement as we’ve been walking through this journey. So many of you are making our special day possible, and we are blessed to call you friends.
Can’t wait to share pictures and stories from the big day! Until next time…when I write to you as Joy Muldoon!!
Love & Prayers,
Joy
