Things I Hate

"Let those who love the LORD hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked." - Psalm 97:10

This is a verse I read recently, and it instantly jumped off the page. "Let those who love the Lord hate evil..." I was silenced. I thought about all the things I hate in this world...human trafficking, HIV/AIDS, hunger, poverty, child soldiers, abortion, domestic violence, materialism...the list goes on. I've devoted my life and my ministry to fighting against injustice, hating the symptoms of our fallen world. Not because I'm a superhero and not because I'm a saint. Not because I think I have all the answers and not because I think I'm capable. But because I love the Lord. It's that easy. Because of this unending, unquenchable love for my Savior, I've grown to hate the things He hates, and love the things He loves.

I just thought this was a cool reminder as we have been launching our very first human trafficking prevention focused Discipleship Training School this quarter, and where we have these students start in their quest to end injustice. It's starts with falling in love with Jesus. And we all can do that.
