This past weekend, Creagon and I took part in the 4th Annual National Human Trafficking Awareness Day at Lake Eola in Orlando. We set up a table for YWAM Orlando, and shared about our vision to prevent human trafficking through missions. It was exciting to join with other individuals and organizations with a common purpose…eliminating modern day slavery. We made some great connections with people who had never heard of YWAM that we were able to share with. Love opportunities like this, to engage with the community and come together with a shared vision! Big thanks to Florida Abolitionist and the Florida Coalition Against Human Trafficking for organizing the event! Pray for their efforts this coming weekend, as Super Bowl outreaches, Tackle the Traffickers, are in full swing!

This month has been flying by! Creagon and I got back from our Mexican vacation and jumped right back into work & life at YWAM. And things haven't slowed since! We put together this fun little video from our time in Mexico, if you are interested!
Since being back at YWAM, we've met the new students training this quarter in the Discipleship Training School, School of Ministry Development, and School of Missions. I will regularly be photographing and videoing these students and posting their stories on our website and Facebook to continue sharing what God is doing in their lives! Here's a recap video from the DTS first week of lecture at YWAM Orlando:
There's so much going on, and we're running at full force to keep up. It's exciting to be part of this organization, and to see God at work on a daily basis in our lives. I'm also working with the hospitality team, and putting my Pinterest + crafting skills to use for ministry, by creating welcoming environments for new students, parents, and traveling teachers. I'm blessed to be so involved in many different aspects of YWAM's operations.
Ways to be praying for Creagon and I this next month:
-God's continued healing for Creagon: it has been 7 months since car accident. Read his most recent health post here!
-Deeper connections with the students: we have such a limited amount of time [12 weeks!] to get to know them and the journey God has them on! Pray that we can be intentional about our time with them.
-Human trafficking prevention & awareness: we have many opportunities to raise awareness this quarter about preventing human trafficking, including a Orlando awareness day, a week of prayer at the base, and an educational movie night! Pray that these events are not just educational, but that God's freedom overwhelms individuals to the point of action.
Thanks for following our stories and being invested in our lives. More to come...

-Read the Bible chronologically. I've already started reading the Old Testament, but I'd love to carry it through into the New as well. Reading the events in the order they happened has really brought new light & life in the Scriptures for me. Should be a pretty attainable goal.
-Sustainable healthy eating. I have a love/hate relationship with food. I love the unhealthy stuff and hate the healthy. But as 30 looms ahead in 2012, it's time to eat like a grownup...and that means the green stuff too! Thankfully, I have a husband who is creative in the kitchen and supportive of healthy eating. We will conquer, together!
-Photo blogging. I love love love taking photos of anything and everything. And since I became smart phone savvy in 2011, it's even easier to share these photos with the world. So I decided to take up the "Photo A Day" challenge, post them on a new blog for all to enjoy! Follow my [our] visual photo journey here: http://muldoonphotoyear.tumblr.com/ Here's a taste with today's photo that I already posted!
-Read more. I adore reading. And I also just got a new Kindle touch [thank you wedding gifts!]. Which means the wide world of literature is at my fingertips. In 2012, I plan to not just read more...but read better. To read books that challenge my mind, heart and spirit. Not to read to pass the time, but to read for a purpose. First up are biographies on C.S. Lewis & George Muller, a travel narrative on child trafficking in Nepal, and a mind-bending geography tidbits from a Jeopardy champ. So far, so good!
I'm sure there is more I want to do, and there will be more I actually do, but for now, this enough. I hope in 2012 I can discover how to be a godly wife, a better friend, a dedicated servant, a just advocate, an inspiring communicator, and a creative encourager. Those are my resolutions.
