30 days and counting

So far my summer has consisted of STD statistics, pantomimes, skits about sex, inflatable tobacco fact balls, and teenagers. Needless to say, my brain has been a little scattered. But today I looked at the calendar and realized that exactly one month from today I will begin my 3-day travel to Cambodia.

One month. 30 days. Wow, that got here fast! I'm definitely still in the planning phase. I have thought like I still need to get my e-visa and find out about immunizations and how much money should I bring and do I just exchange it there....and not to mention looming decision of whether to move there for a ministry opportunity or not.

But I took some time tonight to grab my new journal I'm starting for this adventure, and just wrote about where I am at right now. Spiritually, mentally, emotionally and how I need God just to show up in a big way through this trip. Here's the verse He gave me tonight that has been a favorite of mine for awhile. "There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears." Philippians 1:6 (MSG).

I know God began something in me awhile back, and I know He is not done with me yet. For that I am quite glad. Cambodia is just my next destination is this crazy ride of life with an unpredictable Savior.
